Aftercare Instructions for Hollow Needle Piercings

Congratulations on your new piercing! To ensure proper healing and minimize the risk of complications, please follow these aftercare instructions carefully.

Cleaning:

  • Wash your hands thoroughly before touching your piercing.
  • Clean the piercing with a saline solution twice a day.
    • You can use a sterile saline wound wash .
    • Gently apply the solution using a clean cotton swab.
  • Avoid using harsh soaps, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or ointments on the piercing as they can irritate the area.

Avoid Irritants:

  • Avoid submerging the piercing in bodies of water like swimming pools, hot tubs, or natural bodies of water until it is fully healed.
  • Avoid excessive friction from clothing or accessories.

Jewelry Care:

  • Do not remove or change the jewelry until the piercing is fully healed.
  • Ensure the jewelry stays in place, especially during the healing process.

Swelling and Discomfort:

  • Some swelling, redness, and tenderness are normal for the first few days. You can apply a cold compress (clean cloth with ice wrapped in it) for relief.

Sleeping:

  • If possible, try to sleep on the opposite side of the piercing to minimize pressure.
